No Promises

Sometimes I’m up
Sometimes I’m down
Sometimes I’m away for weeks but I’m coming home
So if there’s something you gotta say to me
Then say it cause I’m lonely

Sometimes I’m rough
Sometimes I’m bound
To take a little walk in the danger zone if you promise not to make a sound
And if there’s something you gotta say to me
Then say it cause it’s only

Fools and queens in the city tonight
And if you don’t lay low they’re gonna make it tight
You got a message in the bottle and you drink it up and when you
Wake up in the morning there’s a letter in your cup saying
Who did you think I was
A man who accounts for everything he does
Who did you think I was
You get up sayin
Stop acting crazy
Well I don’t mind this night’s been a bit hazy
Who did you think I was

No Hollywood
Didn’t make you sad
But now your thinking that the reason for the clouds today is the reason that your feeling bad
And if there’s something you wanna say to me
Something you wanna say to me
Then say it cause I’m lonely
While the bank machines are swallowing the city
The girls on the corner are startin to look pretty
Put a message in the bottle and drink it up
and when you wake up in the morning there’s a letter in your cup sayin
Who did you think I was?
Prince Charming with a top hat tails and gloves
Who did you think I was?
You get up sayin Stop acting crazy
Well I don’t mind this life’s been a bit hazy
Who did you think I was

Who did you think I was…

about

Exit Reunion New York, New York

In October, 2011, soon after a rousing, 20-year reunion show at Bobby Q's in Westport, CT, members of the erstwhile jam band, Left Exit, got together in a studio made of reclaimed bowling lanes in Brooklyn, NY to begin recording what would, a year later, become RECREATION, a 2-disc, 14-song album by a band of one time road warriors with some unfinished business. Thus was born Exit Reunion. ... more
